Philosophy of Religion Student Conference

The Philosophy department at Rutgers University will be hosting a student Philosophy of Religion conference, to be held in New Brunswick, New Jersey, Friday the 18th through Sunday the 20th of January 2007. Submitting papers for the conference is open to undergraduates, graduates, and people currently unaffiliated with any college or university. Submissions of original work in any subfield of Philosophy of Religion are welcome, including responses to works already in the literature.
Submitted papers will undergo blind review by a student committee. The deadline for submissions is October 15, 2006. Accepted papers will be presented and discussed in sessions lasting about an hour and fifteen minutes. These sessions will consist of the following: a presentation by the author lasting about 25 minutes followed by a response by a commentator lasting about 10-15 minutes, then a response from the author lasting about 5-10 minutes, then questions from the audience.
Submissions to the conference should consist of two separate documents: (i) a cover page, and (ii) your abstract and paper. On the cover page, please list the following:
- Your full name
- Email or mailing address
- Telephone number
- School affiliation (if any)
- Title of the paper
- Word count
