I'm happy to announce that Jonathan Kvanvig has accepted an offer to join Baylor University's Philosophy Department where he will be Distinguished Professor of Philosophy. Jon's move represents a real boon to Baylor's fledgling Ph.D. program and is certain to contribute to Baylor's goal of becoming a first rate Christian research institution. [Update:] Since a few have emailed to ask, next year's Annual Philosophy of Religion Conference will be held at Baylor though the date has yet to be worked out.

Jon, let me be the first to congratulate you here. It makes me very sad for my alma mater and her current students, but it seems like a natural move and certainly a good thing for Baylor.
I can testify to the students there that they are in for a real treat and a rarity: an individual who exemplifies great personal, pedagogical, and intellectual virtues.
Congratulations Jon and welcome back to the Lonestar state!
Congrats Jon, a true loss for the UM-System, but a true gain for Waco. Makes me almost glad I didn't gt an offer from MU this year, I would have wanted to work with you anyway.
Congrats, Jon. You'll be a real boon to Baylor!
Thanks to all for the kind words! There is something special about a state where everybody knows what the state flag looks like! Mike, we'll have to have you up soon--maybe I can make up for being participant en absentia at your gig in February. :-) Trent, I just love your hyperbole module at work!
And Matt has now demonstrated that it is possible to know about moves in philosophy before Leiter!
